The Association requires that their members work for fees from consumers only and receive no compensation from car dealers.

Provides a computer printout comparing the sticker price to the dealer’s invoice for the makes and models you choose. Tells you exactly what the dealer paid for the car and every option. Also informs you of  factory-to-customer and factory-to-dealer incentive programs. Consumer Reports also offers a Used-Car Price Service (800-258-1169) that provides the current marketvalue price in your region of any car you describe. Trade-in, buying, and selling prices of used cars are based on the car’s age, mileage, options, and condition.

248-354-3400; 800-521-7257; www.nationwide-auto.com). A national car broker that will send you an invoice and sheet listing a car’s options. If you use the service to buy a car, they will refund the cost of the option sheet and tell you the suggested markup and vehicle cost.
